Last Thursday

I took a trip down to Salt Lake for one of my best friends' wedding.

Okay as I was finishing that sentence I realized that it was grammatically incorrect somewhere. Let me rephrase.

Last Thursday I took a trip down to Salt Lake to attend the wedding of one of my best friends.

That's a little better.



It was so great. They were so happy. She looked so beautiful. Life is just wonderful.

A couple weeks ago Nicole and Dave asked me to take engagement pictures for their invitations, because I am a free photographer, and the student that was going to take pictures was definitely not free.

Dave is going to photoshop them up real nice-like, because, you know, there is a reason I am a free photographer, but here are a few of my favorites, pre-shopped.



I'm really bummed that I cut off their feet in this picture. Dangit.

I have a friend. Her name is Nicole. I have more friends, too, but I really like this one a lot. Here is a picture of her:

She's getting married, but this is not her wedding dress.
I had some pictures of her wedding dress on here because I was pretty sure her fiance was never ever going to read this but then Hugh told me I should take them off anyway so I did. Yaaaaeeeeeeyyy

Basically I'm really really happy that she is marrying Dave. We were roommates last winter and have stayed very close friends since then. ...and by that I mean that Nicole and I were roommates.
Dave was not my roommate. I'm pretty sure that's not allowed.

I mean really. I'm so happy for her. This is awesome.

Apostate Californian

Today I was talking to one of my wonderful sisters-in-law on the phone and she told me they had three inches of snow in Rexburg... and I told her I missed the snow! And I meant it!
The worst part of the snow for me was that I whenever I got home the bottom of the legs on my jeans would be wet, and it wasn't really that bad. I loved the way the city looked in clean fresh snow, it was beautiful.



Love it.




I also love being a goof.

For the record though, I do not miss the wind.

Waffle

So, in case you haven't already heard, Waffle, my cat, died last Monday. My mom called me on Tuesday to tell me he was missing, and on Wednesday to tell me the Humane Society had been called to pick up a dead cat on the same day he went missing. The cat was found near our house and had the same coloring as Waffle so we are positive it's him. I was really sad that night and Nicole and Deanna were so good to sit with me while I was bawling about it, and my siblings have been calling to see how I feel. I'm still sad when I think about it but I haven't found myself thinking about it too much lately. I've been away from home for a while so I've already been missing him for a while, and I'm used to the feeling. Waffle was pretty much the most amazing cat I've ever seen and I know that we will probably never find another one quite like him.

Nicole told me he was in kitty heaven. I told her he probably wasn't. haha.


Can I just say that this is the second time Heavenly Father has sent me an amazing roommate? Deanna was definitely the person I needed in the summer when I was still getting used to being away from my family and dealing with my homesickness. Nicole is someone it's hard to imagine me ever having problems with as a roommate. We're comfortable with each other's habits and find it very easy to talk to each other. I feel like she's become a really great friend to me and I'm going to miss her a lot when she leaves in the spring. I think we've both helped each other this semester.
