I spent three hours at the stables today, grooming horses and cleaning plaque/hay off the bits on the bridles. While S* was telling me how to clean the bits he told me if I didn't want to do it because I thought it was gross, I didn't have to. Do the other student volunteers tell him they aren't going to do stuff because it's gross?? It made me wonder, for sure.
I did it even though I thought it was gross. I loved it. Although I think the bridles were rather more tangled up when I put them back. Oops. I'll have to ask about the proper way to do it next time.
Anyway. It was fun! I hope they need me longer next time.
Also, black horses with dandruff. Not that attractive.
Just sayin'.

I'm so happy they asked you to come help at the stables. They have to be glad you're so easy to work with.
It's awesome that you now have something to keep you busy, and even more awesome that it is working at a stable!
